JPOC's guide to living and working in Germany Here is an important announcement! This part of the web site has now begun the long and painful (for me) transition to the new domain at www.jpoc.net and so you should really be reading, bookmarking or linking to there. This page will now remain as is and will no longer be updated. So, you will need to go to the new location to get the latest additions. In the last ten years, I have spent more time living and working in Germany than in any other country. Here I wish to offer some general hints and tips on life in Germany. I am aiming this at people who will be living and working in Germany for extended periods of time. So, this is not really a guide for tourists or those on short business trips. I will be adding to this area on a regular basis, perhaps for the rest of my life so, you have been warned! I think that the sections for red tape and getting an apartment are complete and the health care pages are doing nicely.
