Kroatisches Restaurant: Alt Paderborn This is a really nice restaurant in a charming setting in the heart of Paderborn. The restaurant is located in an old building with lots of interesting shaped rooms and little nooks and corners and exposed wooden beams. We went on an Friday lunchtime and despite the fact that we stayed beyond the posted closing time, there was never any feeling that we should hurry up. The menu contained a lot of very interesting food. Mostly, Balkan cuisine but with other dishes from various parts of the world. We both had steak wihch was properly cooked as were the vegetables. The portions were generous too. All in all, the food was most satisfactory. We ended up paying sixty marks for lunch for two people. That involved just a main course each and a bottle of wine. The service was friendly and attentive without being at all intrusive. The staff spoke a little English and English menus were available. The restaurant accepts all plastic cards.
