My web page of Man, a Rock'n'Roll Band Man evolved from "The Bystanders" in 1968. They stuck together for almost a decade during which time they changed line ups as often as Italy changed governments. They disbanded and vowed not to be one of those bands that reforms later and keeps plugging on. So, of course, they reformed in the early eighties and have just kept plugging on ever since. You can read all about the bands first phase of existance in Deke Leonard's excellent book "Rhinos, Winos and Lunatics". Their music is a brand of rock ranging from mellow to harder material. They are strongly influenced by West Coast guitar bands like Quicksilver Messenger Service and legendary quantities of illicit substances. |
